I've long been in love with this style of table and am thrilled to have found a company right near our house, that will handcraft one especially for us.
This is important as I really wanted the top to be one solid piece of wood, without any leaves. This may come back to haunt me when/if we move again if we don't have a dining room that is the same size as our current one, but that's a risk I'm willing to take. We're planning on having it made to sit at least eight people, perhaps ten and we'll go with a nice dark stain.
Anyhow, I'm just so excited to replace our current table which we purchased from Loblaws when they first came out with a furniture line. It's time to replace it and that's being kind.
notice the lovely chunks of wood missing on the edges...oh dear
And that's the dining room!
Cheers,
