I've tried knitting and although I haven't given up for good I think it's safe to say I've taken a break from it. There are loads of things that I would like to make, to call my own. I want to be able to read patterns and so I'll give it a try again in the near future.
I'm not quite sure what it is I can't seem to get. Cast on, purl, knit, cast off…..I know a little (and I know it's not as simple as that), but it's not rhythmic yet nor are my projects pretty. My goal, is to be like my mum and to knit while sitting in front of the tv sipping a cup of my favourite tea. Oh how enjoyable that must be. It seems like the perfect way to spend a cool winter evening, ohhhhh, let's add a fireplace to that mix, ahhhh, divine!
Since knitting is not my forte, I often scour our beloved Etsy for items (I am giving my mum a little bit of a break from making me fashionable wears).

Julie,
Thank you so much for choosing my picture for this lovely blog post! I am laughing whilst I am reading because I am knitting in front of my tv waiting for the water to boil for my afternoon tea.
Thanks again!

Are you really?! Well then I'm definitely jealous of you! They seem to go hand in hand don't they? Knitting and tea? Such a wonderful combination! Your scarf is beautiful!
Thank you so much for including my gloves in this wonderful post! Alas, I am not a tea drinker - my knitting gets done with the aid of iced coffee. ;) Don't give up on knitting....you'll get there!

Ooh, that's just as good! Iced coffee is delicious. Your gloves are fantastic! I love how versatile they are with the flap.
